During Cityscape Global 2015, that took place last week at the Dubai World Trade Centre (8th to 10th Sept) Sun and Sand Developers presented its latest case study “Affordable Housing, The Pillars of Affordability” dedicated to the affordable housing; an analysis of stakeholders, challenges and current situation in the Emirate of Dubai.
The study highlights the four pillars on which rely the success of such homes: The Government, The Developer, The Financial Institutes and The Customer. These four cornerstones have to work simultaneously and effectively together to actively contribute to the success of middle income housing development.
To respond to the high demand of such homes in the Emirate Sun and Sand Developers created a new brand that will be presented in details in the coming months.
The Developer has as well introduced its pilot middle-income housing project “SunBeam Homes”, which showcase the company’s vision and commitment in addressing the current market gap. Located in Dubai Industrial City the development perfectly responds to the principles and requirements of affordable housing mentioned in the study as well as the market needs. SunBeam Homes will bring to the market compact quality homes built with good quality materials, lights and ventilation and adequate internal amenities. The project will feature 1 bedroom apartments of 512 sqft with yearly rent of AED 29,000/- and 2 bedroom units of 717 sqft for AED 39,000/- per year. The properties will be available for rent in 2017.
